    Education

I serve as a course mentor for the Lean LaunchPad, a course that provides students with an experiential learning opportunity to see what launching a startup is like. In 10 weeks, I mentor these 5-person teams as they learn what it takes to transform their initial ideas into a repeatable, scalable business model. They do this by practicing customer discovery and getting outside the classroom to test each element of their evolving business model every week.

The course provides real-world, hands-on learning on what it's like to start a tech company. This class is not about how to write a business plan. It's not an exercise on how smart you are in a classroom or how well you use the research library to size markets. And the result is not a PowerPoint slide deck for a VC presentation or a Y-Combinator Demo Day.

The class is designed to give students the experience of how to work as a team and turn an idea into a company — a passion of mine.
