CNBC's Kate Rogers discusses public sector AI adoption with San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie as the city announces it is rolling out Microsoft's Copilot to its 30,000 employees.

Microsoft is NOT laying off people (in another "new" round) due to AI (at least directly) but to keep putting money in AI. It is doing so, apparently, in attempt to "offset" expenses (capex and opex) in AI. So creating and maintaining AI is costly -- very costly - so only way you can salvage the situation is by "firing people"

Sajna Samad, CSCP and I met a few years ago when I was on a women in tech panel she curated at Oracle. At the time I was still at VMware.
