There's a lot of controversy out there about use of AI as a new art form but is it really that different from CGI? Here at PulseJet, we use a combination of 360° video, CG, and AI. We're also careful not to steal ideas/concepts/styles but rather to ensure our concepts are creatively unique from the get go. As James Cameron put it, we need to regulate the output of these engines, not the input. Can you tell CG from AI?

We have the opportunity to use AI to do work that isn’t grounded in our humanity. LLMs are tools for work and productivity, and there’s a deep gulf of understanding between what AI can do and what AI should do, largely because of how it’s being marketed to the general public today." My career transition has given me a lot of opportunity to reflect on the future of an industry I dedicated two decades of my life to, and to the future of work for people in a lot of fields. I wasn't sure where to put a piece like this and I've got no particular schedule of posts ahead, but, this has weighed on me a lot over the last 6 months or so and I wanted to express these thoughts somewhere. Voiceover processing tip: iZotope RX De-Noise sounds pretty bad when you want more than 9 dB of reduction, especially on adaptive mode. For best results, first use Spectral De-noise with a Learn Setting at -6 dB with the best settings that your computer can handle with an Offline render. Then, follow that with Voice De-noise with a Learn Setting at -6 dB. Or split it -4 and -4 or -3 and -3 reduction, etc.
