About
I'm a technology executive with 20+ years of global experience. I'm currently Managing Vice President at Capital One, leading Card Partnerships and Trade Credit Technology — after 11+ years at Amazon across supply chain, payments, and security.
I thrive at the intersection of tech, business, and science, innovating on behalf of customers to deliver impact and sustainable growth. I refuse to accept trade-offs — I invent around them. I'm passionate about building and developing teams, and the relationship work that comes with it: partnering across functions and earning the trust of the people I work with.
I became a manager more than a decade ago. It didn't take long to see how much a leader's choices ripple through people, teams, and organizations — for better and for worse. That stuck with me. Helping others get better at this work has been one of my real motivations ever since.
Part of how I do that today is on LinkedIn, where I've built a community of 90K+ professionals — and write to them weekly on leadership, management, and career. I've been honored as a LinkedIn Top Voice (Blue Badge) and ranked #1 LinkedIn Arab World Creator in Management and Leadership.
Outside of work: anything automotive, especially F1 (Forza Ferrari!). I love sports — playing and watching. I collect fragrances, train hard with a focus on strength, and I'm into food at every level — from learning about it, to exploring new cuisines, to cooking and hosting people I love.

Simulating Mechanism of Brain Injury During Closed Head Impact

In this paper, we study the mechanics of the brain during closed head impact via numerical simulation. We propose a mathematical model of the human head, which consists of three layers: the rigid skull, the cerebrospinal fluid and the solid brain. In this paper, we study the mechanics of the brain during closed head impact via numerical simulation. We propose a mathematical model of the human head, which consists of three layers: the rigid skull, the cerebrospinal fluid and the solid brain. The fluid behavior is governed by the Navier-Stokes equations, and the fluid and solid interact together according to the laws of mechanics. Numerical simulations are then performed on this model to simulate accident scenarios. Several theories have been proposed to explain whether the ensuing brain injury is dominantly located at the site of impact (coup injury) or at the site opposite to it (contrecoup injury). In particular, we investigate the positive pressure theory, the negative pressure theory, and the cerebrospinal fluid theory. The results of our numerical simulations together with pathological findings show that no one theory can explain the mechanics of the brain during the different types of accidents. We therefore highlight the accident scenarios under which each theory presents a consistent explanation of brain mechanics.
