  • Dynamic pricing for revenue maximization - Chicago based large B&M retailer

    - Present

    Designing a price recommendation system for a large B&M retailer based out of Chicago:
    i. The system will provide an optimal pricing solution on a weekly basis with the goal of revenue maximization
    ii. Using concepts of dynamic programming, the system will take as input current inventory levels and demand as a function of inventory & price
    iii. The system will then optimize the week on week pricing that would achieve maximum revenue

  • Multi-period binomial model to predict option prices

    i. Using IBM stock data, calibrated model parameters (stock drift & volatility) for a multi-period binomial model in MATLAB
    ii. Using the stock forward tree constructed using the binomial model, arrived at a price for stock options (American & European call & put options) with various strike prices for IBM stocks
    iii. Compared actual versus predicted results and observed a 90% accuracy for American call & put options

  • House Price Prediction - Advanced Regression Techniques (Kaggle)

    Performed advanced regression model building using R through two different approaches:
    1. Exploratory data analysis, variable selection and series of hypothesis testing
    2. Step-wise regression
    Compared the results from both the above methods through validation against test data and tailored the results to suit the customers' needs.

  • Anomaly Detection Framework

    Developed an anomaly detection framework for the Pricing & Contracting Analytics team of a large US pharma company
    The framework was developed using QlikView and it analyzes historic trends in pharmaceutical chargebacks and flags anomalous transactions/ customers. The project helped the clients identify and minimize fraudulent transactions amounting $3 M
