Thoroughly enjoyed watching the Day 1 Keynote at Gainsight's Pulse Europe conference from last week. https://lnkd.in/gQHu6KfF Chuck Ganapathi the CEO of Gainsight shares findings from their latest annual CS Index survey to 500 companies. - retention isn't important. it's existential. - 82% of companies surveyed are continuing and increasing their CS investment. - 28% of companies have CS reporting directly to the CEO - 43% of CS teams own the renewal, and -68% are driving expansions as well. "The important of CS is only going up." I found this of particular interest due to all of our churn analysis and customer health research. Customer Success is as important as ever before, but how do you leverage agents where possible to free up CSMs for the high value activities. Our interviewees are continually stating the importance of competence and confidence in their sales rep, Account Manager and CSM. This is particularly important in mid market to enterprise and strategic deals. People matter. The approach matters. He also shared the notion of transforming from workflow to outcomes. And how outcomes are becoming the product. Intercom shares how they are the first to market with outcome based pricing. We at IcebergIQ see this in interviews, where usage and user based pricing can become a sticking point. Buyers can budget accordingly but it doesn't always translate into value. Aha moment: our next growth lever isn’t another channel, it’s enabling our the next generation of SDRs/BDRs at scale.   Over the last few weeks at Unify, I’ve been shoulder-to-shoulder with our Customers/Sales/BDR org and our Growth/Marketing team.   Historically, we went deep 1:1 with marquee accounts, sitting side-by-side with a growth lead, aligning to MQL/SQO goals across hundreds of mailboxes. But, this is not scalable.   On the other hand, working alongside the Chalk, Decagon, and Aisera teams pushed us to evolve from 1:1 partnerships to 1:many enablement, this time for 10–20 person BDR squads.   And, that shift came with what is probably an obvious realization: serving business developement orgs is not the same as serving growth leaders.   What changed:   ✔️ One shared narrative: ICP, pain map, and messaging ladder agreed by Sales + Marketing ✔️ SDR training as a product: onboarding curriculum, call frameworks, objection library ✔️ Live call reviews + snippet-to-content loop: top moments become emails, ads, and pages ✔️ Meet them where they are: mapping to Outreach/Salesloft workflows before layering in intent signals and modern tasking 🚀 Instrumentation: clean CRM hygiene, reason codes, and fast creative feedback. Weekly enablement cadence: battlecards, role-plays, and manager coaching.   In parallel, we launched new sales rep functionality: call tasks, action-item tasks, a full task dashboard which is easily searchable and filterable, and new LinkedIn tasks as well.   The early signs are encouraging. Faster ramp, cleaner conversations, and more consistent pipeline week over week. More importantly, SDRs are fired up about enrichment, titles, numbers, and conversion. And they're using Unify daily.   As a former SDR at Snowflake and a Founding AE, it’s special to see a new generation building with a new tool. Culture matters: we build with customers, not just for them. As I was also in the trenches during the early SalesLoft and Outreach days, it's been unbelievable to be apart of the next gen tooling.   Grateful to our customers using Unify for Reps. Those who continuously push us to ship the next iterations of what an amazing GTM platform would look like. Couldn’t be more excited both for Simon Frey and the shift that this signals at Gong. AI is uniquely capable of actually delivering outcomes - instead of just providing software. That means we need to raise the bar in the customer experience - walking in with more context, delivering best practice prescription, and proactively supporting. Stoked for this next chapter!
