From our PearX S25 cohort, meet Pravāh, the AI-native operating system for the electric grid When Mohak Mangal, Dhruv Suri, and Aman Gupta looked at the strain on the U.S. electric grid, they saw a system pushed to its limits. Exploding demand and unpredictable supply have made blackouts increasingly common. This costs the economy more than $150B a year, a number that could 10x in the next five years. Mohak Mangal and team founded Pravāh to help fix it. Their platform helps utilities and grid operators make real-time decisions on load, generation, and congestion, reducing blackout risks, optimizing power procurement, and bringing much-needed stability to the backbone of modern life. Today I’m excited to introduce Wood Wide AI, founded by Pradeep Ravikumar and Varsha Raj, from our PearX S25 cohort! So many companies today are drowning in numeric data. Generative AI tools can’t make sense of it, but Wood Wide AI can. Most professional services firms run a leveraged model. The most expert charge a lot but spend less time on projects. While the least experienced spend the most time. In a world where AI does a lot of the least experienced work, there could be a market for an expertise only approach where a firm only charges to QA/QC what Ai generates. For many experts that are good at their work but are forced to be managers (and hate it), this could be a very lucrative and stress free model. AI drafts legal docs. Lawyer charges 3 hours at $1k per hour to review. No office space, no paralegals, no Associates to recruit and train … Not for everyone. Some people like managing and developing talent. Not everyone.
