The mission of BL²END (Business Leaders Linked to Encourage New Directions) is to foster an environment of growth and belonging where young professionals of color (between the ages of 21 and 35) can connect with each other, develop professionally and contribute to the local community. BL²END works towards the achievement of its mission through a combination of three strategic initiatives: Social Networking, Professional Development, and Community Outreach. Founded in August 2006, the grassroots nonprofit organization is led by a group of young, passionate and innovative leaders of color who volunteer their time, talents and treasure. The mission of the Alumni Association Board of Directors is to model, inspire and facilitate the engagement and support of the Hope College Alumni Association in the life and future of the college.

Served as a West Michigan Regional Council Member of Inforum, a professional women's alliance. Served as committee member of WeConnect!, an Inforum affinity group committed to increasing diversity within the organization.

Served as a member of the Varnum Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council, which provides a broader perspective and awareness to the law firm's strategic planning efforts.

Assisted the Board of Trustees with its goal of building a younger (under age 60), more diverse donor base for future major and planned gifts, through the promotion of the Community Foundation today.
