I made something for all the .NET devs out there: a C# SDK for various AI providers. The GitHub repo is at https://lnkd.in/g2ESrazb and the Nuget package can be found at https://lnkd.in/gjnJW8Ts. This is something that's been on the to do list for awhile now, as much of this code helped build a good portion of the core of Zatomic AI. I knew pretty early that I'd eventually extract this out and make it available to everyone else, and I finally set aside some time to do that. The following AI providers are supported: AI21 Labs, Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Azure Serverless, Cohere, Deep Infra Inc., Fireworks AI, Google Gemini, Hugging Face, Hyperbolic, Lambda, Meta, Mistral AI, OpenAI, Together AI, and xAI. The library calls the chat completions REST APIs and inference endpoints for each of the above AI providers. Everything is strongly-typed with the library handling all JSON serialization/deserialization for all requests and responses. And both non-stream and streaming functionality is supported. The repo includes a samples project that you can use to get going pretty quick. Much more in terms of documentation needs to be done, but this at least gets the ball rolling. Microsoft is investing ~$15B into Anthropic, the company behind Claude, and teaming up with Nvidia to power the next generation of AI. What this means in simple words: • Anthropic will run on Microsoft Azure and buy massive computing power. • Claude will be the only major AI model available on all big clouds: Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. • Microsoft already added Claude into Excel and Copilot. For many organizations and smaller teams, if you're writing tests for developers by developers, unit tests are absolutely the most efficient way to go. Simpler, faster, less overhead. The state of California requires OS developers to ask for age verification or be subject to fines in 2027. https://lnkd.in/g_GbYrm6 This is a real blow to open source operating systems. For one thing, we don't want different "signals" per OS. We'd want a standard interface for browsers to query the OS and have it be portable. I don't think this is a reasonable ask for folks like me that do OS development as a hobby. I'm not microsoft or apple. There also seems to be a tie-in to app stores which might also require integration with package managers.

Yes, AI has changed the way we work. But our developers are more important than ever. So why the crazy takes? Because they prop up wild valuations. CEOs of AI startups (and chipmakers) are selling false narratives to their investors. That’s why we see these silly statements about the death of software development. Last week, Sam Altman called it: AI is in a bubble. “Three people and an idea” can get insane valuations. “Someone’s gonna get burned.” His view on engineers? AI makes coders ~10× more productive – not obsolete. More productive = more valuable. Software developers aren’t going anywhere.

Building in public comes with real lessons. After sharing AivioraOps, a few engineers tried the live demo and pointed out a backend issue affecting login. That feedback mattered.
