A lot of startups are going to get killed because of vibe-coding. Because someone, somewhere, will realize they can rebuild 80% of it using AI for $2. I’ll tell you what happened to me recently. I was paying $50/month to an online signature tool. Just to upload PDFs, sign them, and send them to someone else. Didn’t think twice about it. Until one day, I asked ChatGPT if it could build me the same thing. It gave me working code in under 10 minutes. I ran it, and it worked. Same functionality but built for me. That’s when I realized how fragile a lot of these “tools” are. If your entire product is just a front-end for a very basic workflow, AI can (and will) eat it. You don’t need a dev team. You don’t need VC money. You just need the willingness to ask, “Can I build this myself?” And honestly, that question is about to change everything. Especially for products that are basically just wrappers. If you’re building one, I’d rethink what you’re really offering.

4 stages of consumer PMF. Which one are you at? Stage 1: Product-user-fit Users are retained. Monetization validated. Users are demanding more features or content. Stage 2: Product-market-fit Growth channels matching your monetization model. You can now grow profitably. Stage 3: Negative CAC Enough people are using you and talking about you that your CAC goes to near 0. The market pull exceeds what your company can sell! Stage 4: Cultural shift Your product is changing people’s lifestyle and beliefs. People think about your product on their ride to work. They talk about it at dinner. They connect over it. Every consumer founder’s wet dream! Companies often repeat 1,2 in order to expand their user base or to survive in a changing market. I often see startups skip 1. Those businesses are now dead. I've also met businesses who can't crack 2. Also dead. After 3, money comes easy, companies grow into monstrosities full of waste and mediocrity. That's also when they'll be disrupted! The game shall never die 🙌

Most startups do not fail because the idea was bad. They fail because they solved the wrong problem I think a lot of startup advice romanticizes vision and underestimates pain. People love big ideas, futuristic language, and market size slides, but customers do not buy ideas. They buy relief. The startups that break through are usually the ones that identify a painful, expensive, recurring problem and solve it in a way that feels obvious in hindsight. That is why some of the best businesses do not look glamorous at first. They improve workflows, reduce friction, save time, or help people make money faster. If I were building something today, I would spend less time trying to sound innovative and more time asking better questions: What is frustrating people every week? What are they already paying for badly? What do they complain about but still tolerate? Great startups are often less about inventing demand and more about understanding human behavior deeply enough to serve it better than anyone else.

Progress update: AI needs direction. Prices grab attention 💸 Today, I'm working on adding the missing piece of the puzzle for the DohaDealsRadar Android app. DohaDealsRadar is designed to showcase how technical prompt engineering, combined with coding skills, can produce a secure and fully functional app with a solid front and backend. The #app currently has a clean, scrollable feed where all posted deals look clear. However, there was no price displayed. The initial idea was to make posting a deal easy, quick, and hassle-free. But after testing with actual users, it became clear that prices were being overlooked. Since the app depends on users to post deals, everyone included prices differently, either in the title or in the description. Today, I added price columns to the database and solved this once and for all. The challenge was how older deals would be displayed, since they already had prices embedded in titles and descriptions. It wasn’t ideal, but it had to be addressed. So, I adjusted the styling to accommodate older deals without disrupting the grid structure. Now, the app feed looks familiar to users, with prices clearly visible to grab attention. What do you think?
