🚨 **Security Alert: Critical RCE Flaws in n8n Workflow Automation** Two **high-severity vulnerabilities** have been disclosed in **n8n**, a widely used workflow automation platform, allowing **authenticated users to achieve remote code execution (RCE)** and potentially **take over entire n8n instances**. 🔴 **What’s affected** • **CVE-2026-1470 (CVSS 9.9)** – JavaScript eval injection bypassing the Expression sandbox • **CVE-2026-0863 (CVSS 8.5)** – Python eval injection escaping task-executor restrictions Although authentication is required, **any n8n user can exploit these flaws**, making them especially dangerous in shared or internal environments. ⚠️ **Why this matters** n8n often has access to: • Cloud & LLM API keys • IAM credentials • Internal systems and automation logic A successful exploit effectively becomes a **“skeleton key” to enterprise infrastructure**. 🛡️ **Recommended actions** ✅ Patch immediately to the latest fixed versions ✅ Avoid using *internal execution mode* in production ✅ Restrict workflow creation and user privileges ✅ Monitor for abnormal command execution from n8n hosts 📌 **Key takeaway** Automation platforms are powerful — and when they run dynamic code, **they must be treated like high-risk infrastructure components**. #CyberSecurity #SOC #BlueTeam #VulnerabilityManagement #RCE #n8n #CloudSecurity #AppSec
