Steven Greenhut, a Western region Director for the R Street Institute and member of the Southern California News Group Editorial Board, says that Sacramento’s “regulation frenzy” risks California’s booming #AI industry. We've seen articles describing how suspected #Asian #sex #spies, intent on stealing AI and other technology, have #flooded #siliconvalley After reading Greenhut, I wondered whether they have penetrated Sacramento. For example, Senate Bill 53, the Transparency in Frontier Artificial Intelligence Act (TFAIA), aims to impose transparency and safety requirements that Greenhut says could harm the industry. "The requirement to publish detailed transparency reports could expose trade secrets or vulnerabilities, and impose heavy compliance burdens," he writes. Greenhut suggests that Sacramento's regulatory bureaucracy may be blind to information that China wants exposed. Bureaucrats are "blind" when they have something to gain. Asian sex spies may not be needed to steal AI "trade secrets." Governor Gavin Newsom, a likely 2028 presidential candidate, may "blindly" do it for them. James Patterson

🩸 Clinical Research Spotlight: Hematopoietic Reconstitution in Santa Clara 🧬🏥 We are pleased to highlight an important study published in Hematology and Disorders: A mathematical model was applied to the hematopoietic reconstitution study of a group of thirteen patients with Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma after having undergone autologous transplantation of hematopoietic progenitors in the hematology service of the surgical clinical university hospital "Arnaldo Malian." Based on the model, the recovery process dynamics were computationally simulated, and the hematopoietic recovery times of each patient collected in the clinical data were compared with the times predicted by the simulations. Listening to Digiday’s latest podcast on AI and agency-client dynamics got me thinking about just how complicated this “AI frenemy” really is. I was struck by the tension: AI can empower brands to take control of marketing, but it can also make the work so intricate and costly that agencies become even more indispensable. What really hit me is the human side: AI might fill gaps where marketers leave, but it can’t replace the nuanced guidance, strategy, and relationship-building that agencies provide. In this new era, we have to rethink how humans and technology can work together.
