In terms of LLM use cases, one of the highest value add uses is software coding, and in this application, the proprietary models dominate: "proprietary models still handle the bulk of coding assistance overall (the gray region), reflecting strong offerings like Anthropic’s Claude." This is especially important because coding is now the dominant, token-weighted use case — in early 2025, coding represented 11% of token volume, but toward the end of 2025, this share exceeded 50%. In the approaching post-Q Day environment, entities without quantum-secure cryptography will likely experience cascading failures—data exposure, loss of market confidence, or strategic vulnerability. For nation-states, this asymmetry could translate into asymmetric intelligence advantages, economic leverage, and potentially lead to catastrophic destabilizing shifts in power. Quantum computing will break current cryptography methods and is the most serious cybersecurity threat in the market today. Combining quantum computing with AI significantly shortens the timeline. But it is not all doom and gloom as there are two sides to the technological coin. How Big is Big Brother? The Department of Homeland Security is exploring a unified system for face recognition and other biometric matching. The RFI is out: Multi Biometric Matching System – Notice 70RDA126RFI000003. Is Rank One Computing Corp. (ROC/Nasdaq) a contender? There is company in Colorado, Rank One Computing Corp. that is small, focused, and ambitious. Founded in 2015 by engineers convinced the world needed faster and smarter identity tools, they’ve spent a decade teaching computers to recognize just about everything. IPO Snapshot ROC went public with 4M shares at $6, raising $24M. ROC started trading on Nasdaq. Trading began February 20, 2026. The Market cap sits near $99M, thus a micro‑cap. And to Rank One’s credit: it has zero debt. What do They Do? Their products spans all the different ways computers can identify people: • Face, fingerprint, and iris recognition • Face analytics • Liveness detection (is the image real or fake?) • Object and license plate recognition • Tattoo recognition If it can be captured by a sensor, ROC wants to classify it. Who Are ROC's Customers? ROC sells exclusively to institutions, thus does not sell to retail customers: • U.S. government and defense agencies • Federal, state, and local law enforcement • First responders • Banks and enterprises needing digital identity tools • Physical security teams protecting facilities and assets Risk Profile: High Financials show $16.1M revenue and a $858K net loss over the last twelve months. Other risks include: • Micro‑cap volatility • Heavy dependence on government contracts • Regulatory uncertainty • Thin float and limited visibility • Operating in one of the most debated sectors in modern tech: AI driven biometrics This field is controversial: privacy concerns, civil liberties debates, accuracy and bias issues, and public distrust of machine‑based surveillance.
