I started this organization so women in sales could meet, learn and grow from other women in sales. For several years, we put on a major conference featuring top-notch female speakers to share their wisdom and to be role models for the up-and-coming saleswomen.
Over time, it morphed into a group for just the sales experts that focused on business growth and community. In 2015, Lori Richardson became the President and I’m an emeritus. -

During the 2008 recession, so many people were losing their jobs. I decided to write a book showing how to use sales skills to find new opportunities. I gave it away for free on the new website I’d developed. Plus, I shared numerous resources from other individuals and organizations.
I also hosted a series of free webinars featuring top-notch experts who could help these out-of-work individuals to “get back to work faster.” -

I was a co-founder of Awesome Women, a non-profit organization focused on ensuring that “Every Woman’s Voice Makes a Difference.” I spearheaded the website development and published a weekly newsletter. State Advisory Board Member: Provided guidance and fund-raising support to expand DI to schools across the state; served as judge for regional/state competitions. (3 years)
Team Coach: Worked with teams of 5-7 students to solve annual challenges put out by the international organization. We’d meet weekly to find and test new, creative solutions…Destination Imagination (formerly Odyssey of the Mind) is a creative problem-solving program for students in kindergarten through college.

Team Coach: Worked with teams of 5-7 students to solve annual challenges put out by the international organization. We’d meet weekly to find and test new, creative solutions to the selected problem. Results: Regional champs multiple times, state champ once, winner of the DaVinci Award for exceptional creativity and placed 11th at the World Championships. (7 years)
Program Director: Started high school program in school district, ultimately developing the largest program in the state. Sent multiple teams to World Championships. Best performance was 2nd place.
