More than 500 Wisconsin credit union professionals attended the Wisconsin Credit Union League’s annual convention May 7-9 in Wisconsin Dells. The closing keynote panel discussion focused on the value of cooperatives in today’s world and how the cooperative business model is not only alive and well, but remains sustainable and can continue to thrive. Panelists included (l-r) Aaliyah Nedd, director of government affairs for the National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA International; Courtney Berner, executive director of the University of Wisconsin Center for Cooperatives; Cathy Statz, cooperative educator/outreach specialist; and Marcey Ciaccio, philanthropy manager, Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions. Statz will be one of the presenters for Cooperative Network’s annual Cooperative Communicators Virtual Workshop on May 14.
