Comfort vs. Capability - the ongoing challenge for industrial businesses. For years, legacy, monolithic ERP platforms like SAP have been the default choice for Enterprise Asset Management: familiar, stable, and integrated. But as operations grow more complex and asset performance becomes central to competitive advantage, we need to ask - is “familiar” still fit for purpose? As my role has me speaking with executives on a daily basis across energy, utilities, manufacturing, and construction, I’ve seen a clear shift in thinking. They’re not ripping out what works.
