At this NV5 BIM Team monthly meetup, Zachary J Carson and Nicholas Aggers shared updates and thoughts on Revit Updates and Automation:   📄 Sheet Collections Updates to these features enhance existing, built-in tools to group, sort, and schedule sheets—complete with titleblock data and custom parameters. Sheet view positions can now be saved, locked, edited uniformly, and even transferred between projects. This applies to legends and drafting views along with model views and may may be an eventual replacement for Guide Grids, though both still exist for now. These developments continue to improve clarity and consistency across drawing sets and projects.   🔍 Revamped Linked Files Workflow Revit has overhauled how we manage links and imports; the addition of a data point notation for insert type allows for locating and identifying CAD imports, even inside families. The addition of a Show command makes locating imports possible without plugins.   🤖 Automation with Revit API API helps allow us to give more functionality to Revit. From automating wall placement and spacing to building a Navisworks export tool, he's building tools that save time and reduce errors while improving template development for clients.
