    The Empowered YOU program is created to help women located in poverty stricken areas of South Florida change their circumstances through action and perseverance. Monique has created a program that is based on her own personal strategies to actualize and realize her dreams. The Empowered YOU is a 8 week boot camp of sorts to get women thinking and moving at a very quick pace.

    TheraPoetry [Nairobi, Kenya Edition], 2014 – Designed a creative platform to teach the fundamentals of poetry, introduce the complex writers that have paved the way for future generations of poets and help writers identify ways to use poetry as a form of therapy. This program although originally designed to be presented to American audiences was first debuted in Nairobi, Kenya under the Dagoretti Empowerment Youth Center by special request.

    Strategic Focus is developing Nairobi youth by introducing poets both controversial and esteemed such as Maya Angelou, William Ernest Henley, Robert Pinsky and Paul Laurence Dunbar. Using these particular poets as examples of perseverance through the arts addressing issues that plague Nairobi youth such as rape, codependency, prostitution, depression and addiction.

    Monique designed the iLive Campaign to help once resistant and ashamed persons affected by the stigma of mental health issues to live healthy, happier and more fulfilling lives and to promote suicide prevention. In her role as Ms. Florida Plus America 2012, she has made not only a statewide, but international tour to promote the importance of mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
