I couldn’t agree more with this post on the difference between transactional and transformational Talent Acquisition. Earlier in my career, I experienced TA in a very transactional way, focused on speed, volume, and closing roles quickly. The work got done, but the impact was limited. At Diligent, we’ve been on a journey to move toward something more transformational: 🔹 partnering with leaders to co-design roles rather than just take briefs 🔹 raising the hiring bar and building accountability into the process 🔹 aligning hiring with our growth stage and long-term goals The tools haven’t changed that much, but the mindset has. And that’s where the real impact is felt: stronger teams, better retention, and trust from the business that TA is a true strategic partner. For me, that’s the quiet difference between simply hitting hiring goals… and building a real hiring advantage.
