Figma Grid is here! (beta) It sounds great: organize, align, and place content into responsive layouts. But… It’s not really a full code like grid. It's more like a bento grid. 1. You can’t wrap items inside the grid. 2. No support for variables for gaps or sizes. 3. You can’t reuse column sizes as child sizes. 4. It is only responsive in one viewport at a time. So, if I want a 12-column grid on desktop and a 4-column one on mobile? Nope. If I want a 6-column child on desktop and full-width on mobile? Nope again. Config 2025 had a lot of cool stuff (Sites, Make, Draw with variables 😍), but GRID needs a lot more love. Please, Figma fix the grid. It could be amazing. 🙏

Homepage UX Best Practice #3: Highlight key promotions or seasonal content...thoughtfully. Pottery Barn Kids does this well: it features seasonal offers in a clean, unobstrusive layout. The homepage feels curated, not cluttered. 🚫 A common mistake we have seen in ecommerce sites is overloading the homepage with banners or promotions that compete for attention — especially on mobile, where screen space is limited. 🎯 Instead, highlight a few curated, relevant promotions (think “Up to 40% Off Summer Sale”) that actually speak to your audience.
