In most interactions ive done lately there's a lot of confusion around the $100k fee on H1B. Hiring International Students on OPT: 📌 Post-Completion OPT (12 Months) - No cost to the employer - No sponsorship required - Students apply for work authorization themselves - Processing takes ~60-120 days, students should apply early because USCIS has been backed up in various instances 📌 STEM OPT Extension (24 Months post OPT) - No cost to the employer - Employer must be enrolled in E-Verify - Employer must fill a training plan required (Form I-983)
