The hardest bug in one of my React Native project wasn’t a single crash. It was stabilizing a cross-platform attendance workflow across Android, web, and iPad Safari, where navigation state, camera capture, API responses, and platform-specific routing each introduced different failure modes. Fixing it required tracing state across the JS layer, native Android build chain, browser constraints, and PHP backend behavior until the full end-to-end flow became deterministic. Easy to look at this post from Alexander Wurts and be like "yeah duh." But the reality is that some very talented devs are falling behind and this is why. I think root cause is that many early adopters -- i.e. smart ppl in tech but not the frontier innovators -- tried coding agents early when they still sort of sucked. Now that coding agents are great, many early adopters are hesitant to offload as aggressively as they could to agents. Food for thought.

Vibe-coded a bit of PHP and honestly, it’s not that bad. Probably just better training data for LLMs. The code could be more stable, yeah, but it’s hard to switch back when Next.js apps are just so much better for SEO.
