It was cool to sit down with John Gilroy of the #FederalTechPodcast to talk about how Rancher Government Solutions is helping customers deploy modern software securely in both the enterprise and edge! I first met John back in 2020 on the Kratos Constellations Podcast. Always a lot of fun. A majority of our discussion focused on how we are helping customers deploy modern software applications at #edge. Why does this remain such a challenge? There 3 primary reasons across a wide-range of US Government use cases: 1. Connectivity: Applications and the entire software stack need to be able to fully operate without connectivity or a need for intermittent connectivity. 2. Ease-of-Use: Whatever is deployed at the edge has to be able to run without a lot of technical overhead. 3. Reliability: Mission critical software have to be reconstituted quickly and automatically.
