Did you know Drupal Webform can redirect users to a custom page after they submit a form? Instead of showing a basic confirmation message, you can send them to any URL on your site or off it. Here is how to set it up: - Create a simple confirmation page on your site. - Go to the Webform settings and open the confirmation section. - Change the confirmation type to "URL with message." - Enter the page path into the Confirmation URL field. When someone submits the form, they get redirected to that page. Webform also passes a submission token in the URL. A standard "thank you" confirmation following a form submission can be a little boring. Drupal's Webform module lets you easily customize the confirmation message to make it more specific and helpful. You can even use tokens to display data the user just submitted, like their name or any form element. How to: - Navigate to your forms Settings tab and open the Confirmation section. - Write your custom message in the text area. - Use the Browse available tokens link to find the right token for a submission value. - Insert a token like "[webform_submission:values:first_name]" to greet the user by name. - Save your settings and test the form. You already paid for Drupal. You're probably using a fraction of what it can do. Not because it's limited. Because no one showed you the interface isn't fixed. When I ask new clients about their editing experience, they usually shrug. It's fine. They've figured it out. But "figured it out" often means workarounds. Fields they ignore because they don't apply. Steps they repeat because that's just how it works. Meetings to request small changes that somehow need developer time. Here's what surprises them: we can change the interface. Move a field. Rename a confusing label. Add a checkbox that shows or hides things based on context. Make the CMS match how their team actually works—not the other way around. One client runs 18 sites on a shared codebase. Authors reused content blocks, but certain fields didn't apply to every page. They wanted flexibility, but requesting a new block type meant governance meetings and waiting on developers. We added checkboxes so authors could configure blocks themselves. About two hours of work. Now they solve their own problems. No meetings. No tickets. No waiting. That's what capacity looks like when you're not getting more budget or more staff.
