This is exactly the kind of smart, flexible security solution growing communities need right now. As the Upstate continues to explode with new development—industrial parks, multifamily housing, retail corridors, and construction projects—mobile patrols fill a critical gap between no security and full-time onsite staffing. What makes this launch especially timely: • We’re seeing increases in after-hours theft, vandalism, and copper/material theft across construction sites and commercial properties in South Carolina. • Many property managers are being pushed to do more with tighter budgets, making mobile patrols a great deterrent at a fraction of the cost. • Businesses want visibility + fast response, not just cameras that record problems after the fact. Mobile patrols paired with alarm response and randomization are one of the most effective ways to change behavior before incidents happen—especially overnight and during low-traffic hours. Most officer encounters don’t end in a shooting - Close contact, On the ground, In combatives. That’s also where officers are most likely to be injured—yet still expected to perform their duties. At the same time, the safety bubble around officers has shrunk. Bystanders increasingly step into encounters—recording, crowding, and sometimes interfering—making these engagements even more unpredictable. The Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC)—which trains more than 350,000 first responders annually—has integrated Accuracy Under Fire (AUFIRE) into their programs, including a focus on combatives training. As GPSTC Division Director Ara Baronian explains: “AUFIRE allows us to take scenario-based training to a new level of realism.
