Working with NRF to pursue our patent strategy is an important step in recognizing that proprietary AI systems and workflows are becoming a new form of intellectual property for modern firms. Great to partner with George, John McBride, and the team at Norton Rose Fulbright as we work at the frontier of how AI can transform investment decision-making in venture capital. At Decasonic, we believe the next generation of companies will reinvent with AI workflows and systems how organizations operate, how leaders make decisions, and how teams collaborate with intelligent systems. In going through this streamlined process, it's clear to me that many more startups should clarify their IP strategy. Our internally developed AI platform, RLEN, reflects that philosophy. We are building AI not to automate tasks and flourish outcomes, in collaborative ways for human and AI teammates. This enables our investors to test ideas, explore alternative perspectives, and reach deeper insights faster when navigating uncertainty. More broadly, we are seeing trailblazing work across industries and cities as leaders experiment with how AI can reshape communities, companies, and countries. Leadership with AI forever transforms. We are still in the early innings. Appreciate the partnership and collaboration from the Norton Rose Fulbright team as we continue inventing and innovating. I had a conversation with Karl Schmieder, MS MFA on how #radicalcollaboration is needed to bring a bio-manufacturing industry to life. Actinide raised millions out of the last Discipulus Ventures Cohort to build a scalable American isotope platform and ignite the next ATOMIC AGE in America👇 Who Actinide was founded by Eric Olszewski and Robert Mendelsohn Eric is a repeat founder and early Ethereum developer who personally funded $1M+ into Actinide. Robert has spent nearly a decade building isotope separation machines and has prototyped nearly every separator described in the literature. Problem Isotopes unlock advanced materials by changing how substances behave, improving heat transfer, mechanical response, and transport properties through controlled atomic-scale interactions. Yet supply is highly concentrated: Russia dominates many high-value isotopes, while U.S. production capacity remains extremely limited. Solution Actinide rebuilt Manhattan Project–era calutron technology from first principles. Using modern physics simulation, advanced magnetic assemblies, semiconductor-grade components, and in-house manufacturing, Actinide produces isotopes faster and at far lower cost than legacy systems. Vision and Progress Actinide’s first full-scale machine has successfully produced material verified by an independent third-party lab. The company has signed supply agreements across nuclear and pharmaceutical markets, including isotopes priced near $36,000 per gram. Early demand already exceeds current throughput. ✋ It wasn't us - honest truth! It was not by AMS's design or request that an article (p16) that promotes a legacy technology for removing carcinogenic hexavalent chromium but that includes both an image of the trucks that would be required to transport weekly thousands of gallons toxic waste from dozens of local communities to specialized treatment sites and also a 'health warning' from Ecolab that the technology may also generate radioactive waste was placed alongside a fact-based article (page 19) that compares competing treatment technologies. That article systematically addresses why these legacy technologies are not fit for pupose. This also calls into serious question why some leading consulting engineers continue to promote these legacy technologies rather than offering Californian communities the option of an approved and proven solution that has a 40% lower lifetime cost. AI isn’t just a computing story. It’s becoming an energy story. This piece looks at the proposed ~9 GW gas power project in Ohio tied to AI data center demand. The scale is staggering. Projects like this highlight how quickly electricity demand from AI could reshape power infrastructure planning and economics. One point that stands out: the cost of reliable, large-scale power for AI may be far higher than many expect. As hyperscalers push for dedicated generation and firm capacity, the traditional model of grid expansion and cost sharing starts to break down.
