  • Low frequency cortical activity is a neuromodulatory target that tracks recovery after stroke

    Nature Medicine

This paper contains the body of work I did at UCSF mapping low frequency oscillations in the motor cortex in a rat model of stroke. We charted the efficacy of numerous DC, AC and optogenetic recovery aids. Results include correlated adjustment between behavioral, kinematic, single unit and LFP measurements.

  • Auditory event-related potentials associated with perceptual reversals of bistable pitch motion

    Frontiers in Human Neuroscience

Extended previous research in the visual domain on bistable stimuli such as the Necker Cube to the auditory domain, pioneering the use of a novel, bistable, auditory stimulus made from Shephard Tones. This research isolated auditory EEG components corresponding to the visual Reversal Negativity and Late Positive Complex. These results suggest functionally equivalent but anatomically distinct processes in auditory vs. visual bistable perception and may shed light on the neural correlates of…
