Every year, I participate in NASA's Day of Education. Personnel from NASA Langley visit hundreds of local classrooms to talk to students about STEM and about things that young students are interested in or never heard about. I've participated in this activity for the last six years.

More recently, I mentored one fifth grade student from Yonkers, NY, who went on to win an award at his school's science fair. I was elected by the board to be the president in my first year, during that time I worked closely with the recreation association board . to reorganize and hire key accounting and management personnel to make the pool more profitable and self sustaining. Additionally, I worked with the board and members of the community to correct discrepancies in the monthly fees, balancing the budget, and creating an environment of inclusivity amongst owners.

During this session well examine the processes we are using to connect users to data, through the use of transformative processes and next generation tools thatallow users to extract real meaning from research-grade data.
