🚨 Security Reminder: Microsoft Office Zero-Day (CVE-2026-21509) 🚨 This security feature bypass (CVSS 7.8) lets attackers dodge OLE protections in Office docs basically bypassing safeguards against risky legacy COM/OLE controls. It's hitting Office 2016, 2019, LTSC 2021/2024, and Microsoft 365 Apps. Exploitation needs user interaction (open a malicious file), but no Preview Pane trigger, and CISA already added it to their Known Exploited list with a Feb 16 deadline for feds. Key moves right now: - Scan your environment for those vulnerable Office versions - Push the out-of-band updates ASAP (Office 2021+ gets some auto-protection via service-side fix, but restart apps) - Keep an eye on logs for anything sketchy around Office files These document-based attacks are super common - don't let this one sneak through.
