Day 3- Regenerative Agriculture & MAHA’s Aha! The morning began with the United Natural Products Alliance members meeting…always a grounding way to cut through the noise and overwhelm that comes with walking the Expo floor. Loren Israelsen , delivered clear-eyed insights into the regulatory and political winds shaping our industry. He highlighted industry impact of Trump’s recent Executive Order on glyphosate, which has stirred shock and concern among the MAHA community; a group that has, until now, been largely supportive of Trump. Their response signals a deeper turning point: leaders are calling for the removal of the chemical liability shield and federal investment in regenerative and organic agriculture as a strategy to help address America’s chronic disease epidemic. With glyphosate increasingly linked to serious health concerns, the debate feels both necessary and overdue. At the same time, A Greener World hosted a panel discussion entitled “Consumer Values Are Shaping Meat and Dairy. Are You Ready?” featuring Anne-Marie Hourigan from Whole Foods Market , Jessica Wright from SPINS , Emily Moose from A Greener World, and Daisy Freund from the ASPCA . The conversation explored the powerful shift in consumer expectations around transparency, animal welfare, and sustainability: a reminder that values-driven purchasing isn’t a niche trend but a defining force shaping the future of food production. By midday, optimism took center stage as A Greener World, hosted a truly inspiring lunch session featuring animal welfare approved meats and certified regenerative wines. The conversation around measurable progress in soil health, animal welfare, and farmer livelihoods left many of us energized about the road ahead. Today was a vivid reminder that transformation in agriculture isn’t just policy or certification…it’s a movement fueled by collaboration, accountability, and vision. ✅🤝🌿✨🌱

Minnesota Hemp & THC Brands: Get Ready for Testing Cost Shock Starting this September, Minnesota is rolling out two new mandatory testing requirements for hemp-derived THC edibles and beverages: - Homogeneity Testing (5–10 unit sampling) - Terpene Testing (if added or claimed) While we support consistency and safety in cannabis products, let’s be real—the cost of compliance is about to double or even triple for most producers. That’s right: - More units per batch tested - New terpene panels (which don’t work well on edibles, by the way) - New in-state lab requirements starting Jan 1, 2026 And yes, you out-of-state brands that want to sell in Minnesota will pay these costs too. There’s no shortcut. This isn’t just red tape—it’s red expense. Smaller brands will be hit the hardest. It’s a reminder that smart regulation needs to be paired with practical execution—and testing tech that’s actually designed for the product being tested. Oh—and full-spectrum topicals with even trace THC? Now banned unless sold through a licensed medical dispensary.
