The North Route shuttle has 11 stops on its route starting from Campus Recreation Center and ending at the same point. There are two shuttles moving through the route all the time picking and dropping students on its way. Thus a shuttle stops at every stop, students get down, students who are waiting get up and shuttle starts moving for next stop.
During a day, there are times when there is a rush and lots of people are waiting for the shuttle and at some time durations, the shuttle is moving almost empty on the route. The objective of the study is to find out ways to optimize the average number of people waiting and the average number of empty seats over a day.
