The Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption spectrum across the United States government is very uneven. While most agencies have implemented simple AI-based applications such as automating simple workloads, developing application specific dashboards, or experimenting with simple machine learning predictive models, others are exploring cutting-edge AI-based solutions for near real-time intrusion and detection, recognizing objects in video data, or performing predictive maintenance. The problem is in the middle of the adoption spectrum. In this paper, we introduce the DATICS framework or the Golden Hexagon, an AI Framework to guide Federal agencies in their AI journey.

Access to knowledge has never been better in human history. The Internet has opened the gates to a mass of information and knowledge to virtually everyone in the world with Internet access. However, the curriculum structure and the teaching model have not evolved significantly to adapt to this drastic growth. The contemporary learning system is still static and generalized. Furthermore, due to the advent of digital culture, students have become more demanding of and critical about the educational system and its value. They want to understand the “what” and the “why” of what they are learning. In this paper, we explore a novel digital learning platform based on artificial intelligence and foundational learning strategies called LEMAS.

Is it time to call Java 11?
LinkedIn
See publicationOracle has unveiled Java 11, a major release with a Long Term Support (LTS), i.e., the commitment by Oracle to provide security and bug-fixing updates until at least 2026. The catch is that Oracle will stop providing a free Java (JDK) with Long Term Support (LTS). The technical argument is to allow enterprises to run on multiple large applications on a single shared Java release that is updated and supported over a long term ensuring stability.
