Washington, D.C.-based endpoint security startup Koi has raised $48 million in seed and Series A funding to build a central checkpoint for enterprise software. Founded by veterans of the IDF's elite 8200 intelligence unit, Koi addresses the growing risk of unmanaged, self-installed software in modern endpoint environments. Its platform provides a centralized layer for visibility, risk analysis, and policy enforcement. The Supply Chain Gateway acts as a checkpoint for all incoming software, unifying inventory and using an AI-first risk engine to block malicious components before they reach an endpoint. Battery Ventures, Team8, Picture Capital, and NFX led the rounds. The funding will help Koi continue to scale its platform, which is already protecting over 500,000 endpoints at some of the world's largest enterprises. OX Security has raised $60 million in a Series B funding round to enhance its platform for scanning vulnerabilities in AI-generated and human-produced code. The funding round was led by DTCP with participation from IBM Ventures, Microsoft, and others, bringing Ox's total funding to $94 million. Neatsun Ziv, co-founder of Ox Security, said the platform helps developers focus on innovation by freeing up their time and improving security. Ox Security analyzes over 100 million lines of code daily for around 200 customers, including major companies like Microsoft and IBM. Too many founders with compliance requirements still treat cybersecurity like a “big company problem.” You’ll hear things like: “We’re too small, people will understand.” “We don’t have the budget for that yet.” But if your business touches sensitive data—HIPAA, PCI, or anything else— you’re not just taking a risk. You’re violating an expectation. One that regulators, clients, and your future acquirer will not overlook. Cyber requirements aren't an IT line item. They are in fact a regulatory requirement. The cost of getting it wrong goes far beyond ransom payouts or downtime. You’re putting your team, your customers, and your valuation at risk. Boards need to push harder. Founders need to act sooner.
