I run into this a lot. A business is either using the router from their internet provider or they have a firewall in place that hasn’t really been touched in years. Everything works, so it’s not something they think about. But as the business grows, things start to change remote access, new systems, different roles, outside vendors. At some point, it’s less about having internet and more about how everything is structured behind the scenes. That’s usually when a firewall starts to matter.
