    I started this open source organization in order to learn more about application security, as well as to provide alternatives in the sparse secure computing space. The two current projects under construction are a secure chat application, and a secure cloud storage application. Both utilize end-to-end encryption by default and are meant to be distributed.     Deadbolt allows my team (SiteDB) to provide access to an AWS RDS Database to a developer or team of developers with a high degree of granularity. Since AWS did not support active directory of LDAP Authentication for our MySQL, Aurora, and MSSQL databases in the cloud, we were chasing down authentcation and permissions errors frequently. Now, with Deadbolt, we can assign a user to a team with a set of permissions, and know that their login will work with appropriate positions on all the correct…
