Amped to be an early check into Marik Hazan (via Earthling VC) on this "Vibe coding" and AI-generated code/agents are vaporizing the value of middleware. As such, it seems increasingly likely that the value of the picks and shovels layer of generalized app creation is asymptotically heading to 0 (other than possibly some monopolistic winner). The idea of being a studio that leverages AI to ideate, build, and test apps really, really fast and accumulate a previously impossibly huge portfolio of apps is the most logical, but still contrarian and controversial vibe coding company — and that's typically where I like to invest. Marik was the first builder I’ve seen instrumenting this insight
