Native Integration vs. AppExchange Package for Salesforce

Last updated: 3 years ago

Who can use this feature?

Salesforce Native Integration is available only to Salesforce Lightning users.

As a Salesforce user, you now have access to Native Integration with Sales Navigator (along with the existing AppExchange Package Integration), which ensures that you can enable:

  • Out-of-the-box Embedded profiles (including LinkedIn quick actions) without having to install a third-party Sales Navigator for Salesforce app.
  • Integration with High Velocity Sales (HVS), allowing you to add LinkedIn InMail and connection request steps to HVS cadences.

When you integrate Sales Navigator with Salesforce, you can choose between the Native Integration and the Salesforce AppExchange package.

AppExchange vs Native Interation

Important to know

For Salesforce users, it’s recommended that you install and enable our third-party Sales Navigator for Salesforce AppExchange Package. This is because Native Integration doesn't support Data Validation and Salesforce Classic. But, if you'd like access to the HVS Integration, you'll need to enable Native Integration in parallel. Also, Person accounts are only supported with Native Integration.

To enable Data Validation, you can install and enable the third-party Sales Navigator for Salesforce AppExchange package. Data Validation is not available only with Native Integration. However, if you prefer only the Native Integration (without installing the App Exchange Package), you'll still have access to Embedded Profiles in Salesforce Lightning.

Important to know

You can install and enable both the Native Integration and the AppExchange Package in the same environment.
