Filter alerts on the Sales Navigator homepage

Important to know

Alerts are displayed on the Sales Navigator homepage based on the options that you have turned on in the Alert preferences section in the Settings page.

With Sales Navigator Alerts, you receive relevant insights about sales-specific activities regarding your saved leads and accounts. This makes it easier for you to build and maintain relationships in Sales Navigator. By default, the All alerts tabs on the Sales Navigator your homepage displays alerts for all leads and accounts that you have saved.

Here's a tip

You can also filter notifications about your saved leads and accounts by accessing the most used lead or account filters in the extended Search section at the top of your homepage.

To filter your lead or account alerts: 

  1. Sign in to Sales Navigator.

  2. On the Sales Navigator homepage, click the All alerts tab.

  3. Choose one of the following options to filter the alerts:

    • Accounts
    • Account lists
    • Lead
    • Lead lists
    • Shared activity - Alerts that appear if a user engages with you, your shared list, or a list that’s shared with you. This option is available only with Sales Navigator Advanced and Advanced Plus editions.

    The alerts lists is filtered based on the option you select.

  4. If you would like to bookmark an alert, click the icon.

    The alert is bookmarked and is visible in the Bookmarked alerts tab on the Sales Navigator homepage for 60 days after which it is removed.

  5. You can also sort your alerts list with the following options:

    • Relevance
    • Latest
  6. For each alert, you can click the More icon to choose one of the following actions:

    • Remove alert, not relevant
    • Unsave lead or unsave account
    • Turn off this kind of alert

Best practices for staying up to date with alerts

  • Sync with your CRM - Keep Sales Navigator and your CRM aligned for seamless tracking and updates.
  • Customize alerts - Use the ellipses next to each alert to remove irrelevant ones, turn off specific alert types, or unsave outdated leads.
  • Engage strategically - Congratulate leads on role changes or comment on news articles relevant to their companies. Use timely insights to tailor your outreach for maximum relevance.
