Please follow the sections below to uninstall Sales Navigator from Salesforce Lightning.
Here's a tip
Before uninstalling, you'll need to either remove the Visualforce pages from any Page layouts and/or switch to a different page layout from the page that you had installed them on, and delete any written back activities.
Typically, Visualforce pages are installed on the following layouts:
-
Account
-
Lead
-
Contact
-
Opportunity
-
Custom layouts
Writeback activities include:
-
Messages
-
InMail
-
Notes
-
Calls
To delete the VisualForce component, click the X icon.
To change your page layout:
-
Navigate to Setup, Object Manager, and then Objects.
-
Click Fields and select the correct layout from Lightning Record Pages.
- Select a page layout that doesn’t contain LinkedIn information.
-
Click Edit and Activation… for the page layout and Assign as Org Default.
-
Once completed, go back and complete the same steps for all page layouts that need to be modified.
- If you don't have a page layout other than the pre-installed LinkedIn layouts, you'll need to create a new page layout view.
- For more information on how to do this, please reach out to Salesforce support.
-
After all layouts are completed and you've deleted all writeback activities, switch back to Classic to access the Recycle Bin from Salesforce Home, and permanently remove those activities.
- The Recycle Bin doesn't exist in Lightning. If your organization doesn't have the capability of switching to Classic, please contact SFDC support for further assistance.
-
Check the Action box to select all items in the Recycle Bin or click the box next to the specific writeback items you wish to fully delete.
-
Click Empty your Recycle Bin.
-
A pop-up will appear that says Are you sure? Click OK.
Here's a tip
You may need to complete this step multiple times throughout the uninstallation process.
-
From Lightning, select Setup, Apps, and then Installed Packages.
-
Next to the SN for SFDC Package name, click the Uninstall link.
-
You'll see the following message:
-
This screen will list the package components. Below this list, you will see the following options:
-
Select Do not save a copy of this package's data after uninstall and click OK.
-
At the bottom of the page, click the box Yes, I want to uninstall this package and permanently delete all associated components and Uninstall.
-
When the package has been successfully uninstalled, it will appear in your installed packages like this:
If there are still items in your organization utilizing components of the Sales Navigator for Salesforce Package, you will get an error such as this:
If you get an Unable to uninstall package error, you will need to complete steps 1 or 2 of the uninstallation process until all components are removed. There may be problems in the above window that don’t show up the first time, but may show up in subsequent uninstall trials.
Here's a tip
This may need to be done multiple times until all components are deleted.
