Who can use this feature?
This is a mobile-only feature and is not available on Sales Navigator desktop.
Sales Navigator mobile apps offer you a call logging feature that leverages your call data to match your calls to LinkedIn members that you're connected to. To do this, the feature allows LinkedIn access to the following data about the phone calls on your device:
Outgoing phone numbers from inside the app
Call times
Call duration
Here are some frequently asked questions about the call log feature on Sales Navigator mobile apps:
Yes, your call details are stored on your device until you choose to save them to Sales Navigator. You’re prompted to save call details each time and saved call logs appear in the notes section of a lead's profile. Once they are saved, we use notes and call detail data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
The call log data matches your calls to your LinkedIn connections only if the person has added their phone number on their account. Also, if you or your Sales Navigator admin has enabled the CRM sync, the call data is matched with your CRM leads information. This enables you to take notes about your phone calls and save them to Sales Navigator.
We won’t have access to the content of your calls.
There are two data sources:
LinkedIn.com: The user must add their phone number on their LinkedIn account, which is optional, and be connected with you. This means that if they're a saved lead but you're not connected to them, you won't see their number.
CRM: When you've synced your CRM with Sales Navigator and the lead is in your CRM. Additionally the lead's phone number must be added into the CRM. This is only available for Enterprise contracts. In this case, you don't have to be connected to them on LinkedIn.
In either case, when visiting the lead's profile in Sales Navigator, the phone numbers will display on that page and will be stored for this feature to use.
It's possible that the person has not added their phone number to their LinkedIn account, so we won't be able to match this data even though they are connected to you.
When you turn off call detail logging, call details on your phone will no longer be accessed. However, any call details you've previously saved to our servers won't automatically be deleted.
You'll find logged calls in the notes section of a lead's profile in the Sales Navigator app. Here you can also add any notes you'd like to make about the call.
