Exclude Users from your Sales Navigator for Salesforce Embedded Profile

If you’d like to limit the number of individuals who can view your Embedded Profile integration, you may do so via a combination of Apex Class Enablement and Visualforce pages.

To exclude users from your Salesforce Embedded Profile:

  1. Clone a new SFDC Profile, and add LinkedIn elements added.

  2. Assign your desired group of excluded individuals to this new Profile.

  3. Clone new page layouts for Leads, Contacts, Accounts, and Opportunities.

  4. Two new sections will be needed for Leads and Contacts and one new section will be needed for Accounts and Opportunities. The LinkedIn Visualforce elements also need to be added to these new sections.

  5. Assign the newly created Profile to these new Page Layouts in order to limit Embedded Profile visibility to only those assigned to the new Profile.
