Check out some of the frequently asked questions about 1-Click Export Deletion Notices for Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) Connect.
Customers who use CRM Connect are able to use the 1-Click Export feature to export limited information from LinkedIn member profiles to their CRM such as name, title, company, and location, subject to the member’s profile visibility settings.
Through the 1-Click Export Deletion API, LinkedIn’s CRM partners can now provide you notice when a LinkedIn member whose data you have exported later deletes their LinkedIn member account. It is up to your CRM to decide how they surface this notice to you. We have created these notices to help customers better manage their CRM records, assist them in compliance efforts, and respect the choices of LinkedIn members. After receiving this notice, each customer can then take appropriate action with respect to member data stored in their CRM. As a data controller of the exported data, customers can best determine what action needs to be taken on these notices (if any).
Customers are not obligated to take any particular action. Customers are the data controller with respect to data that they have exported using 1-Click Export and customers may determine that they can continue to process this information, even though it has been deleted from LinkedIn. For example, you might determine that you can continue to process this data if you have permission from the individual or if you need to retain it for legal compliance purposes. You should consult with your own counsel to determine the action you should take (if any).
You may delete the candidate record in your CRM the same way you would if a candidate requested you to delete any other CRM record.
You should work with your legal counsel to determine how frequently you should review the 1-Click Export deletion data. Additionally, you should work with your CRM to ensure that their implementation of the API meets your needs.
Your CRM should be able to provide updates on when they will make 1-Click Export Deletion Notices available in your CRM.
