Manage your Job Slots in Recruiter

Last updated: 7 months ago

Job slots are a feature within LinkedIn Recruiter that allow employers to allocate specific roles for enhanced visibility by promoting them. Jobs tied to job slots gain benefits like appearing in top-of-search results, job recommendations, and other premium placements on LinkedIn. Employers can actively manage these slots to prioritize critical hiring needs.

The number of jobs you can post is determined by the number of job slots your company has purchased. This number is shown in Product settings, under Usage overview. The expiration date for your job slots can be found in your contract.

Important to know

An admin with billing permissions can add additional job slots to the contract through the LinkedIn Admin Center.

Job slots are a pooled resource shared by your team. Some slots may not be available if you or your users on your dashboard already have jobs posted.

How do Job Slots work with an ATS?

Job Slots work with manually posted jobs or jobs posted with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) through Job Wrapping or the Premium Job Posting API. Here’s how they integrate:

  • Job Wrapping:

    • Positions are automated to LinkedIn from an ATS or career site and available in Recruiter.
    • Employers can prioritize jobs within their ATS by pinning, tagging, or setting specific posting rules in LinkedIn Recruiter.
    • Jobs not promoted automatically through job slots are treated as basic listings unless upgraded.
  • Premium Job Posting API:

    • This API allows ATS partners to directly post jobs to LinkedIn using job slot availability.
    • The system ensures that only the number of jobs matching available job slots can be posted, which helps optimize the client’s budget and strategy.
