Edit your manually posted jobs to prepare for LinkedIn Apply enablement

Last updated: 1 week ago

LinkedIn Apply is an integration with select Applicant Tracking System (ATS) partners that enables you to host your application process on LinkedIn.com, streamlining the apply experience for candidates while collecting application data directly into your ATS.

Prior to enabling LinkedIn Apply, we need to be able to determine which job from the ATS to send the application to. To ensure LinkedIn Apply works for manually posted jobs through LinkedIn Recruiter, you'll need to include an ATS-specific URL pattern for the Apply URL you are redirecting applicants to.

To make sure LinkedIn Apply will work for a job you've already manually posted in LinkedIn Recruiter:

  1. Click the Jobs tab at the top of your Recruiter homepage.

  2. Click the job title you'd like to enable with LinkedIn Apply.

  3. Click Edit to the right of the job title.

  4. Under How would you like people to apply?, select Direct applicants to an external site to apply.
  5. In the text box under Direct applicants to an external site to apply, enter the apply URL from your ATS and include the ATS job ID.
    • The ATS job ID must be included in the job application URL given to LinkedIn. The ATS job ID can be found in your ATS system, typically under job details. Reach out to your ATS representative if you have questions on locating the job ID.
  6. Click Continue twice.

  7. Click Save job.

If you're posting jobs via a job distributor, the job URL that is sent via your distributor must include the ATS job ID. Reach out to your job distributor if you have questions.

If you're posting jobs via LinkedIn job wrapping and we are already ingesting your jobs, we'll need to make sure the ATS job ID is in the URL. Please work with your LinkedIn representative to make sure this is occurring correctly.

Once you've verified that your jobs are posting in the correct way, including the job ID, please reach out to your LinkedIn representative for enablement instructions.
