Tag jobs for Job Wrapping in Recruiter

Last updated: 7 months ago

Add a tag to your job post to control which jobs are posted through Job Wrapping when creating them in your Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or career site. Tagging refers to adding specific personal tags to job descriptions in your ATS or career site. Tagged jobs are automatically posted to available slots after pinned jobs, ensuring they also receive prioritized visibility.

LinkedIn Recruiter automatically assigns a tag to each recruiter in the format of "#LI-[first initial, last initial, NUMBER]" (e.g. #LI-JC1). If multiple people have the same initials, Recruiter will add a number to the end of each tag (e.g. #LI-JC2).

To find the tag assigned to you in Recruiter:

  1. Move your cursor over your profile photo in the top right corner of the page and select Product settings from the dropdown.

  2. Click Promotion settings on the left pane.

  3. Click Edit to the left of Edit user tag for promotion jobs.

Add your personal tag to the bottom of job descriptions in your ATS or career site to ensure they're posted. Job descriptions that include your personal tag are automatically posted after all of your pinned jobs are posted.

Tagged jobs remain in your slots until they expire on your ATS or career site or until you remove your tag. If you add a tag to a new job, please allow 24 hours for the job to be posted.

Here's a tip

Tags take priority over rules and the backfill. If you have more jobs tagged than available job slots, LinkedIn defaults to posting the newest jobs based on posting date.

Benefits
