If the email address or phone number of a candidate you import into LinkedIn Recruiter matches an existing LinkedIn profile, your candidate’s imported data will be automatically linked to that profile at the time of import.
You’ll receive a notification within Recruiter alerting you that your candidate has been matched to a LinkedIn profile. Click Show me on the notification to view the candidate’s LinkedIn profile.
If the candidate’s email address or phone number isn’t available, the candidate won’t be linked to a LinkedIn profile and only the information you imported will show on the candidate’s Recruiter hiring profile.
