Create Reserved Ads in Campaign Manager

Reserved Ads allow you to reserve the first ad slot in the LinkedIn feed to maximize visibility for your high-priority campaigns.

Who can use this feature?

Reserved Ads are currently only available to LinkedIn managed accounts with a dedicated representative. Please reach out to your representative for more information.

Prerequisites

When you create a Reserved Ads reservation, keep in mind: 

  • You must use our Classic ad set creation type. 
  • Reserved Ads are only available for the brand awareness objective and the impressions optimization goal. 
  • You can only use the following Sponsored Content ad formats: Single image, carousel, video, event, document, and thought leader ads.

Important to know

After your reservation has been created, you must launch your ad set within 48 hours or your reservation will be released.

Step 1: Set up a reservation with your representative

To set up your reservation:

  1. Reach out to your representative to set up your contract, add campaign and ad set details, and secure your reservation.

  2. Once set up, your representative will send you a link to review. Please review and contact your representative if any updates are needed.

  3. After you confirm that your reservation is correct, use the instructions below to add your ads to Campaign Manager and launch your ad set.

Step 2: Add your ads in Campaign Manager

To add an ad to your reservation:

  1. Go to your ad account in Campaign Manager.

  2. Click Advertise on the left side, then click Ad sets at the top.

  3. After you find your Reserved Ads ad set, move your cursor over the name and click Edit.

  4. Review your ad set details and click the Next button.

  5. On the Ads in this ad set page:

    • To create a new ad, click the Create new ad button. Fill out the required fields, then click Save ad. For more details on how to create each type of ad, please see the table below.
    • To use an existing ad, click Browse existing. Select the checkbox next to your ad, then click Add to ad set.
  6. After you’ve added your ads, click the Next button.

  7. Review your reservation details and click the Schedule launch button at the bottom. We recommend that you launch your ad set at least 48 hours in advance to ensure ad review completion before your reservation start date.

Here's a tip

Once the reservation is made, it can’t be edited or canceled. After the ad set has launched, you can edit or pause your ads while it's live. Please note, if you edit your ad it will need to go through ad review, which can take up to 24 hours.
