Request to boost a thought leader ad from your LinkedIn Page

As a super or content admin, you can use thought leader ads to boost posts from members associated with your company to increase your reach and achieve your brand goals. Before you can boost a post from a member, you must request approval from that person.

To request approval to boost a member’s post:

  1. Go to your Page super or content admin view.

  2. Click Feed in the left menu.

  3. Click the Employee posts tab at the top of the page.

  4. Scroll down to find the eligible post you’d like to boost and click the Request to boost button.

  5. In the dialog that appears, click the Send request button.

    • The member will receive an email asking for approval. For faster approval, you can also click the Copy link request button to send a direct link to the member.
  6. After the request is approved, you can click the Boost post button to finish setting up your ad set.

Once you’ve boosted a post, an ad set will be created in your ad account in Campaign Manager with the selected settings for your ad set and ad. You can view the full ad set performance in Campaign Manager. If needed, you can edit the settings for your ad set from either your LinkedIn Page or Campaign Manager.
