Unclaimed invoice setups in Ads Billing Center

If your ad account was set up for monthly invoicing before self-serve invoicing was released, you might see a message that your invoice setup is unclaimed. If you see an unclaimed invoice setup in Ads Billing Center, you’ll need to determine if you should claim it, create a new invoice setup, or leave it unclaimed.

Important to know

If you’re an agency and an invoice setup has been created on behalf of a client, you must have access to both the agency bill-to legal entity and the client’s monthly invoicing payment method to claim the invoice setup. Agencies should not attempt to claim invoice setups which are billed directly to clients.

Action and considerations Next steps

Claim an invoice setup if:

  • The bill-to legal entity for the invoice setup belongs to your business.

AND

  • You want to manage the invoice setup from your Business Manager.

1. Apply for monthly invoicing to gain access to the bill-to legal entity and payment method.

2. Once approved for monthly invoicing, the invoice setup will automatically be claimed by your Business Manager and appear on your Invoice setups page.

Create a new invoice setup if:

  • You want to change the bill-to legal entity used for your ad account.

AND

  • You want to manage the billing for this ad account from your Business Manager.

Create a new invoice setup for the ad account.

Leave an invoice setup unclaimed if:

  • The bill-to legal entity doesn’t belong to your business.

OR

  • The invoice setup for this ad account will be managed by another Business Manager.

No action is needed.
