Edit targeting settings and audience signals for an Accelerate ad set

When you create an Accelerate ad set, you can select key targeting settings and add data sources to help you reach the professionals that mean the most to your business. Accelerate combines your product information, any audience signals you’ve selected, and historical data from your account’s previous ad sets to help you reach member accounts that are most likely to convert for your business based on your ad set’s objective. 

Who can use this feature?

You must have super admin, content admin, or Sponsored Content poster access on your ad account's Page and campaign manager access or higher on your ad account to create an Accelerate ad set.

To add targeting settings and audience signals to an Accelerate ad set: 

  1. From the review page of your Accelerate ad set, scroll to the Targeting settings section and click Edit.

  2. Add inclusions or exclusions to your targeting criteria. 

    • In the Include section, click + Locations to add geographic locations for your audience. You can also click the Language dropdown menu to change the profile language of your audience. 
    • In the Exclude section, click + Locations, + Contact lists, + Company lists, + Third party lists, + Company industries, + Job seniorities, or + Job functions to specify locations, Matched Audience segments, or audience attributes to exclude from your audience. You can also select or clear the Exclude employees of [company] checkbox.
  3. Click the Update audience button.

  4. Optional: Scroll to the Audience signals section to add data sources to your audience. 

    • Select a data source (if available) based on the action you want users in your audience to take.
    • Select additional audience signals from attributes, such as company industry, job title, and more. Use the search box to search for a signal you’d like to add or click Browse in the search box and click through each category to filter through the list. Then, select the checkbox next to the specific signal you’d like to add. Please note, you can add multiple signals.
  5. Click the Add button to save your audience signals.

After updating your audience signals, you can continue to review, edit, and launch your Accelerate ad set.
